What Is Content Marketing

This article comes from the blog archive – figures and examples reflect the year it was published.

It is a strategic approach whose job is to create and spread valuable, relevant and consistent content that builds a long-term relationship with the customer, which in the end turns into customer action.

Content marketing is by now the foundation of marketing activities. It is a lasting value that creates a firm relationship and alliance with the customer.

Every organisation creates content. It isn’t just the domain of big companies and corporations. Small firms produce content too. Some companies, however, don’t do it consciously. Any message you spread, in any form, is content and a matter for content marketing. Targeted content marketing brings long-term results. Combined with traditional forms of communication, it is the way to create a harmonious relationship with your audience – it is two-way communication, where you talk with people, not at people.

Traditional marketing presents a product. Content marketing creates a story around the product. It talks about topics that create an emotional connection with the final product. The story is what remains; the story is what the audience remembers. Because we live by stories, we create stories. If you create a story that has value, you create an indestructible link between your business and your potential client.
